Shop functioning weird, please help

[FONT=Arial]I had set al the settings in the admin control panel as I wished to have it, like: tax, shopping info just everything etc. I have worked a full month to get the setting as I wished.[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial]The weird problem is after the registration of new users all the setting seems to be back to default again. Like new users are seeing all my prices excl. VAT and old users are seeing it as I had set it up.[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial]Everything is back to default for new users, it seems that its not reading any setting which I had set in the control panel, but for the old users (registered members) its still as I had set it.[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial]The thing that I do not understand is in my control panel everything is exactly like I had set it. [/FONT]

[FONT=Arial]All the options that I had set in the control aren’t changed and everything is like it should be, but how come when new users register, its all back on default, like no taxes are calculated etc.[/FONT]

I have also noticed that, when a visitor who is not logged in, they are seeing the correct settings, also the old members are seeing the correct settings.

Its just the new members who are seeing the prices ex. VAT . So only new visitors whom are logged in...

Try posting a link to your site and also where(country address) these "new customers are from - as could be that the settings are based upon country of orgin

yess, my customers are from The Netherlands even when i make test accounts.

The fact is that when you go to the site and you are not logged in you will see the exact settings that i have set in the admincp. and also when older members are loggedin (old member = registered before 10/16/2007) those are also working well with the settings which i have made.

Its not only taxes but also settings like sending standard html emails instead of text (email options>> e-mail admin format>> set to html).

please note: the added settings in my admincp are still configured well as i had set, so thats not changed. and its working great with older customers.

The things is that i had set my shop for two or three months and all the settings and functionality was working great. After 10/16/2007 my server made some kind of database server upgrade and after that all new registering customers of my shop are facing this issue. It still reads all the settings for the older customers and not logged in users but it seems that its not applying it to new customers while the settings are set in the admincp. My server www.servage.net says that this is a software issue.

After 10/16/2007 my server made some kind of database server upgrade

this is what their support team is saying when i told them that it could be caused by them

Hello Saman,

By reading your first ticket, it does not look like it was caused by the datacenter move. And we have not tempered with your data, and why should we.

Please contact the support of the software. Maybe they can tell you how you lost the settings.

If your host changed your servers around, then perhaps your store is pointing to the wrong database server now?
Or maybe they have a cluster that's not operating properly and sometimes your customers see old out-of-date data and other customers see current data.

thanks but no thats not it. its working and performing and the setting are performing well for my older customers.

Its just that the settings are not getting applied to new customers.
