Default Warning when adding/editing new products or categories

With the limited search options we have now, I couldn't find this so I apologize if it's stated somewhere else.

I have a customer that has 4 stores. She was moved to a dedicated server a couple of weeks ago. All the sites were running smoth and suddently TODAY, the main site where she usually adds items is giving the following error:

Warning: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: Stat failed for /home/xxx/public_html/store/images/M95161.jpg (errno=75 - Value too large for defined data type) in /home/xxx/public_html/store/**admin**/includes/modules/product/collect_info.php on line 442
    With categories is the following:
Warning: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: Stat failed for /home/xxx/public_html/store/images/M95161.jpg (errno=75 - Value too large for defined data type) in /home/xxx/public_html/store/**admin**/categories.php on line 717
Any idea of how to solve this?

Default Re: Warning when adding/editing new products or categories

I found out that this is due to a bug in PHP4 not effectively managing large files. Will 1.3.6 work in a PHP5 environment? I know I have to upgrade but these are 4 stores and I'm just waiting for the 1.3.8 release to avoid upgrading and less than a month I'm outdated again with the ZC version.
