    help question Checkout error message

I upgraded my old version to the new 1.3.7 (old shop is still active while I get the new one set up) the database upgraded and came over nicely and all the products are there the shop is looking 'pretty' and overall it was trouble free...

except for one minor problem - can't check out...
I get the following error message
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: zen_catalog_href_link() in /home/scrapb/public_html/advertising/includes/languages/english/modules/payment/paypal.php on line 13

would be ever so grateful for some assistance on this.

Did you upgrade to v1.3.7 or to v1.3.7.1 ?
    v1.3.7 requires a PayPal patch: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56216
v1.3.7.1 includes the PayPal patch (as of June 17) along with many other fixes.

Also, the zen_catalog_href_link function comes from the html_output.php function file. If you have a contribution installed that has changed that file or if you mixed up the admin vs storefront versions of the file, you will end up with problems.

sorry I should have checked and got it right the first time.

The old version was a VERY old one, for some reason struggling to find the version number.
The newly installed one is 1.3.7.1

All I have done since install is change the colours etc and put up my store banner.

I have also uploaded the direct bank payment module (for payment to Australian bank Accounts).

    does that help at all?

when I ran the upgrade the products and customers etc were retained and all was looking good - just can't check out? minor problem lol!

Check to be sure that your /admin/includes/functions/html_output.php file is intact and not 0-bytes in size. Perhaps re-upload the original version of the file.

Now, what's odd is that you said you're having problems checking out because of this error. This would suggest that you've set the IS_ADMIN_FLAG to true somewhere in non-admin code ... which will create chaos and confusion in many places. Did you mix up the application_top.php files between storefront and admin?

I'd recommend doublechecking everything this way: http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p...Obscure_Issues

    Thanks for that.
I checked the output file and it was fine.
Reuploaded the application_top.php files for both storefront and admin and that seems to have corrected the issue.

Now just a couple of other little wrinkles to iron out and I'll be ready to relaunch. Thanks so much for your assistance.
