UPS module not showing in Shoppin Cart estimate shipping

It seems that UPS shipping modules doesn't work on my zen-cart installation. I installed and enabled UPS but didn't work.. It doesn't show in the Shopping Cart's Estimate Shipping pop-up. Am i missing something or what?

I have Zen Cart installed on a local computer for development. Everything works okay except the 'Estimate Shipping' from the shopping cart.

I have the following modules enabled: UPS, USPS, and a custom module called "rate to be determined" for large freight. This is really just a copy of the Store Pickup module. All modules display just fine on the Checkout delivery information page. Unfortunately, only USPS rates are displayed on the 'Estimate Shipping' popup. Any ideas what might be wrong here?

I just installed the new version of zen - because of the great amount of help and responses I got from other posts. Thanks once more for all the awesome support.

But I still have several problems. I registered with USPS for their web tools, got the username, plugged it in, used the username as the password as well (as instructed via email from usps) and set the server to production. Then I called and got the email stating that the account has been turned on. But the problem is a very strange one.

Even though I have turned on that shipping module, not only does usps not show up in the shipping estimator but also it does not show up as an option for shipping at all on the checkout:shipping method. The message I get is:

Shipping Method:
This is currently the only shipping method available to use on this order.

- of course - the ups is showing up just fine here. But i want to give my customers a choice between usps ans ups. -

I read through these posts, but I am not sure what to do next.
