im just stuck in zc for few days...have tried to change my background at the first which i think its the easiest one....but nothing change at all

the questions are...what have i done wrong???? and what should i do????

i have created a folder and name it "custom" as i followed by the tutorials, and
tried to chaged the background colour in custom css but nothing chage at all...

could u help and tell me what the problem and what i should do please???

i used nightfall template b4 and tried to change something in there but nothing happened at all

then i tried to create my own custom thing which i wish i could create my own template but i have stuck at the beginning T_T

The background color of which element? Your site has width 100% so the site's background color isn't visible. Do you mean the background colors of your side columns?

I'm afraid that it will take more than a change of background color to achieve that.

The example website shows a border around the main body of the which is placed centrally.

Ideally we would like to make the background to be bordered by one colour excluding the boxes shown on each side shown on our website.

I hope this makes some sense of our requirements.

Not really, but try adding the following CSS to your stylesheet and see if that helps you in the right direction

#mainWrapper {

margin: 20px auto;
width:900px;
border:black 1px solid;
border-left:black 8px solid

}

Up to a point. You've added it before another mainWrapper declaration a few lines further on which is over-riding your margin styling.
