Default Fatal error message installing on linux

I've seen that a few people have had the same errors, but I can't make out a solution from the posts in this forum. They all seem to be slightly different errors that have been given a wide variety of "read this" and "try that" suggestions. A link that was given to some help (listed below) doesn't work and I couldn't find it. Most of what I've read I don't really understand and the Godaddy hosting support people won't help me at all.

I suspect you've missed setting the right information in your includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php files to match your server's configuration.

There are some FAQ's on this topic:

I have no program experience and could really use some help on this one to get my site installed.

I've been working on my site from a local machine and then used Dreamweaver to upload. I did it again using WSFTP because I couldn't figure out how to get FileZilla to connect. Anyway, here is the message I get....

Warning: main(../../zc/includes/version.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/m/b/o/mbooth62/html/shop/zc_install/includes/application_top.php on line 26

Warning: main(../../zc/includes/version.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/m/b/o/mbooth62/html/shop/zc_install/includes/application_top.php on line 26

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '../../zc/includes/version.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/content/m/b/o/mbooth62/html/shop/zc_install/includes/application_top.php on line 26

    My hosting account is running:
    PHP v 4.3.11
    Apache v 1.3
    MySQL v 5.0

I have a phpinfo() log, but wouldn't know what you would need to know from it. Based on other posts...

    include_path .:/usr/local/lib/php

    Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Fatal error message installing on linux

Problem resolved. Realized that the "zc" in my path was supposed to say "zc_install" and that, somewhere along the line, it got changed to "zc" because I renamed "zc_install" folder to "zc". Don't ask me why I did that.

Point is....it takes awhile to start to see the simplicity in the complexity. When I started this e-commerce project, I knew (somewhere in the back of my mind) that if the correct path wasn't properly instructed, the correct destination just couldn't, and wouldn't, be reached. Now that it has been brought to the forefront of my attention, I'm wishing that I could just find some good maps.
