Hi,
I backed up my database about 2 nights ago. Now I want to revert back to what i had (contribute didn't work for me) but I have had 6 orders since than. Will it wipe out my orders?

Yes, it will wipe out everything that changed since you did the backup.
Testing new contributions should be done in a separate copy of your store, not on your live site..
