I don't think your modules are necessarily the problem.
I'm thinking more of the files that contain language texts such as whatever "TEXT_MODULE_DIRECTORY" is supposed to say, etc. (ie: /admin/includes/languages/english/modules/php ... and if one is bad, then there's likely lots more too)
Either that or your hosting account has some serious permissions problems and is preventing you from loading files normally. For that you'll need to ask them for assistance, because file permissions shouldn't normally have any impact. Zen Cart operates with normal permissions settings save for a couple specific needs for specific folders if you plan to use the browser to edit files or upload images. Other than that it uses regular permissions and works fine on a standard hosting configuration.
