Confirm Order

Background info:

I have created a site for inhouse ordering, this will be used for an IT department. The different departments in the bussiness will login and order printers, computers, etc. They will use a cost code, which the materials management depart will use to charge the department for the order price. I have modified the Purchase order mod to work for this.

However due to the amount of people using the site, it is required that we have some kind of order authorization.

Once the person enters the order and goes through checkout, I want an email to go to the authorizing manager (email address put in with the purchase order) asking to confirm the order, the manager can then click a link in the email and the order's status will be changed from pending to processing. Then Matman will order the products and charge them to the cost code number.

Here is the problem. I don't know where to add an extra email command to send to the manager, and I don't know how to script it to change the status from pending to proccessing from a url.

Can someone please help me with this?

Or point me to another product that has this ability.

Sadly I have heard nothing yet. I have not been able to get this work yet.

You probably already knows but you get an email when a customer makes an order then in customer orders you can manually change the order status
