    Default No SSL Padlock

    Im not getting the padlock on the secure pages. I see that when im on a secure page, some of the product links have a http:// link in the sidebar ~ Is this the problem and if so can someone tell me how to fix? I know how to edit the files via FTP however may need some handholding finding the right ones etc.

    Here is a secure page link: https://www.candlesmadefromsoy.com/s...ain_page=login

    please help ;)

    Hello sassayone:

    SSL only protects the following:

    Customer checkout page

    in the following files you have to switch on the ssl they are located in the following folders on your ftp.

    includes/configure.php
    admin/includes/configure.php

    In those files look for the section
    // Use secure webserver for checkout procedure?
    define('ENABLE_SSL', 'false');
    Make false true

    The above is in the includes/configure.php

    The following is located in admin/includes/configure.php
    // secure webserver for catalog module and/or admin areas?
    define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false');
    define('ENABLE_SSL_ADMIN', 'false');
    Make the false to true

    However this will not work even switched on if you do not have an ssl for your domain, you may need to contact your hosts if you do not have one.

    Hi Knuckle-101 thanks for taking the time ~

    Both these files are enabled correctly as is the SSL certifcate installed.
    The certificate is fine, my only problem is the padlock is not showing in the lower right corner on these secure pages ~ as I understand it should be.

    anyone else?

    Ask them if they can symlink your HTTPS folder to your HTTP.

    Hi, I am having the same problem. All my Configure.php files are set to true. But I am not getting a secure checkout. I have Godaddy.com SSL Certificate. I contacted godaddy and they told me it was installed correctly, and it is installed, but my website is using the http not the https during checkout. Any suggestions??
