    help question Production.ShippingAPIs.com/ShippingAPI.dll

    Hello,

I've gone through all the necessary steps in creating a web tools account. I got the Web Tools User ID then contacted them and later received a confirmation that it was moved to the production server.

I tested it a few times and it seems to work fine however when logged into the admin section under shipping modules the icon next to the usps module is still on 'orange' and not green.

The ups one is on green and fine so I was wondering if something still needed to be done?

I contacted their support and the person wrote back in broken english...' Place that in Zencart for the production server and it should work properly'. He's referring to 'Production.ShippingAPIs.com/ShippingAPI.dll' which was sent with my production server confirmation email.

I don't see anywhere to put it and not much info searching the forums?

You're making it more complicated than you need to.

    1. take the webtools user ID from the email, and copy it to your clipboard.
    2. go to your Zen Cart Admin->Modules->Shipping, click on USPS, click Edit
    3. Paste your webtools user ID into the field that says:
Enter the USPS Web Tools User ID
Enter the USPS USERID assigned to you for Rate Quotes/ShippingAPI.
    4. Make sure the "production" radio-button is selected.
    5. Save your changes.

If the little icon is yellow instead of green, it means you've tied a zone to the module. If you don't want the USPS module restricted to a certain zone, Edit its settings and set the "shipping zone" to "--none--".
