Default How do I get back the tell a friend button image?

    Hello,

I recently by accident deleted the "Tell A Friend" file in my hostgator.com file manager, and when I go to the site it shows an "X" there. So I was wondering, how do I get it back to show up? I have them image saved if that helps.

Please and thank you in advance.

If the file manager has a utility to upload files, you could do it that way.

If not, consider getting and FTP client like FileZilla or SmartFTP (both free) to upload files to your website. You'll need some information from your hosting service on how to configure the FTP client, but after that you should be good to go.

I can't figure out if my file manager has the utility to upload files.

I downloaded both of the FTP clients, and they are way beyond confusing. I'll never figure those out.

I tried this, and the FTP clients won't be able to help me with this.

The problem I was having is that I accidently deleted the "button_TellAFriend.gif" file that had the "Tell A Friend" button I was using on my site.

Either I have no clue how or where in the FTP clients that will fix this problem, or they won't be able to fix my problem.

    Any suggestions?

If you have a copy of the missing button on your computer, the FTP client will allow you to upload it to your site.

If not, then you are probably out of luck. If your hosting service has a backup, they may be able to restore it for you, but they'd be restoring EVERYTHING, not just the button, so anything you changed after they backed up would be overwritten.
