I believe you can turn on or off file caching (queries) from within the Admin. Do you need it for any specific reason? If not, why not turn it off?

What version of Zen Cart are you using?
The caching should do its own cleanup automatically. Older versions may not have done that consistently.
You should be able to delete the cache folder contents periodically if you wish. Best to do it when nobody's on the site though. DON'T delete the index.php or index.html or .htaccess files in that folder though. They're there to prevent folks from snooping.

It is was updated version from 125d about 3 mths ago.
I had a look around in admin , but cannot find the cache control??
Where within admin would the tuirning off caching be located ??
