Per Weight Unit does not work in Google Checkout

I need to be able to set a separate carriage charge to different items because I will use different carriers. Postage is VAT exempt, some carriage is and some is not. Therefore it is important I am able to add carriage separately at the checkout.

I have followed the instructions here: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=208 on how to do so. Google Checkout returns a zero value for carriage in spite of that.

Has anyone found an answer which works?
