My Customer log in not working

Having a problem where the log-in simply doesn't work. A customer clicks 'Log In'; gets to the log in screen; enters email and pass and clicks 'Sign In', but is returned to the log in screen.

Where should I start to troubleshoot this issue?

Note: The issue occurs with any template.

(Zen Cart 1.3.7.1; PHP 5.2.4; MySQL 5.0.27-standard)

If customer login isn't working, the problem is usually busted PHP sessions behavior or busted SEO/SEFU module setup.

When did this problem start happening?
What addons/contributions are installed?

(This is a new installation.)

Add ons are: PayPal Direct Payment and Integrated COWOA. That should be it.

Does the problem disappear if you back out of those contributions?

That will take some time.. however I will report back

(Geez, Zen-Cart sure needs a mature plug-in/module system like Drupal or Word Press etc!!)

I have been watching this waiting for some new developments. I just did a install and have the same problems. Thanks-

I reinstalled everything, including Integrated COWOA, and the login issue appears to have disappeared. Unfortunately I can't be more precise about what the problem was in my installation.

(Now on the PayPal problem.. sigh..)

Yeah, it is a pain, no doubt about it. Hopefully future versions of Zen-Cart will be more modular, easing the pain of trouble-shooting.

hello I am having the same problem, but I've noticed that when my configure.php file is set to:
define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://californiababy.ca');
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://californiababy.ca');

it works fine,

soon as i include the "www" like this:

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.californiababy.ca');
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.californiababy.ca');

the login doesn't work anymore and i get the same results as the first poster in this thread.

can anyone help?
