Message at Checkout

I would like to be able to add a customised message on the checkout page.

At its most basic, it would just be a single bit of text which would always appear (you would change it in admin)

The next level would be that you could define a load of messages (ie a 'Happy Christmas' message) and have them appear within certain date ranges.

The final level would be that you could just have them appear for certain groups of customers.

Is there anything like any of these already?

I can do a certain amount of php rejigging, but I wouldn't feel confident to start something like this from scratch.

You could accomplish this without any coding by using the Admin->Tools->Define Pages Editor and altering the text on define_checkout_success.

Yes. 'Post and Solve' ensured that I thought of that after adding my post!
