    red flag Urgent!

    Hey guys,

I have a form on an ssl page that goes to a non ssl page and firefox is throwing an error that states:

    Security warning!
Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unecrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party are you sure you want to continue sending this information

Does anyone know a way to fix this so that it does not pull up in firefox? Unfort right now I do not have the ability to turn domain that the form is accessing to ssl...as I know that would be the easiest way around that.

    Any ideas?

Why can't you make the offending page ssl?

If this is sensitive information then you have the correct answer - send to an SSL receiver site. Otherwise, it is the responsibility of the browser to warn of this condition in the event that sensitive information can be intercepted

The reason I can't change it to ssl is because It is a sign up form for our newsletter which is run by constant contact and so it is having to be sent to constant contact to finish the form. Which is where the problem lies. Since I cannot control whether or not that page is ssl on constant contact I can't change it. Which is why I'm trying to find out another possible way to stop it from displaying that error message. Make sense?

If only a email address requires being passed to be included as a subscriber you can collect the information on your site and script new subscribers to be passed later either manually or as a cron job

Do you think there is any other way? Just seems like there should be a simpler way. The only reason we wouldn't want to do that with the e-mails is that since there is already a form set up where they can input the information by themself that it would be useless to have to have them give you their e-mail addresses then manually import them into the software.

I re-state that this is the intended purpose of a browser - to check this - So basic answer is no,

There is no way that you can alter your users browser.
