Default Help in cleaning up image files/cpanel

I dont mess around in cpanel very much...
to afraid I might mess something up!

I see in cpanel under Files there is a link to file manager
when I click on this I can pick which company to work in

Now what I would like to do is view the files/folders that hold all of my pics that are on the website and make sure it does not contain any pics that are not necessary anymore.

We have added and deleted quite a few pics via admin and I want to make sure there are not old ones still in cpanel.

    How would I do this????
Is there a way to click on the pic/file name, bring up the pic so I can view it, then delete it if necessary?

I think it would be easier to download the images folder, use your windows file browser to view the thumnails and write a list of the files you want to delete.

Then go back into the file manager of cpanel and simply go down that list, deleting the files you want to get rid of.

You could also simply delete the files in windows as you come accross them, then delete the files in the images folder and upload the images you want to keep into the images folder.

Keep in mind that if you're using imagehandler 2 you're probably using a differant images folder and the bmzcache folder is still going to be there, so you'll need to delete the bmzcache folder after you replace the images on your server.
