custom template doesn't show coloumns

Hi

Really puzzling but I've tried to create a custom template following the instructions from the wki, i.e creating a folder wherever the classic folder is and copying files over. When I select my custom template ( which has an underscore _ in the title) I don't see any boxes or columns. Don't know how to get them to be visble. My custom colour chnages come through but not the boxes and columns. I've checked the Chmod and it's set to 755 so that's okay. Has anyone seen this before so they can tell me what I'm doing wrong?
