Mod Stock by Attributes

Hello Folks,

First of all I'd like to congratulate you for the terrific modification you made for Zen Cart, the stock by attribute controller.

I'm using it and also very satisfied with it. However I was trying to make an improvement on it but with no success.

I am trying to include the following:

When the user is looking at the product page, it also displays the attributes to choose, but, even those who are with quantity 0 at the stock are shown. Despite knowing the fact that you can block the checkout process of a product with attribute that has no quantity in stock when trying to add it to cart, I would like to do a little more, I was trying to show at the product page just the available combinations of products+attributes that has 1 or more quantity at stock.

For example, if we have a drop down attribute color and you choose the color X, on the next attribute drop down shown it will only display the available sizes with color X with more than 1 quantity in stock.

I know this is a little bit complex but here is my (suggestion/ask for help) for you.

Hi Gustavo

The approach that you suggest has been much requested, but not actioned as the stock by attributes functionality will be absorbed into Zen Cart's core offering in the next major release. There is therefore little point in making changes to the mod when it is near the end of its life.

There's a support thread for this mod where many of the discussions that have gone before can be reviewed.
