Embed PDF content in a page?

I know this is not the correct place to ask but any help will be appreciated.
I need to embed pdf file on my zen-cart. I do not wish to make it a download link. Just a PDf file which is viewable when user clicks on a page.

I tried using
<EMBED src="filename.pdf"></EMBED>

but it didnt work
any other suggestions?

Try html in product description i.e.

<a href=http://yourdomain.com/yourpdf.pdf target="_blank">Preview PDF File</a>
