    Default Authorize.net Testing

    Hi All,

I'm running a shop (v1.3.7) with the Authorize.net module and I cannot get the test purchases to work. Here is the error message I am receiving:

    "(TESTMODE)
Transactions of this market type cannot be processed on this system. - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance."

I've not configured a shop with Authorize.net before, so I am not sure if this is the message I am supposed to receive, or if this means that something is wrong. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, the orders are not being recorded in the ZC database as I cannot proceed to Step 3 to confirm the order.

You'll need to talk to Authorize.net to get them to adjust your account settings.

Thanks Dr.Byte - do you know specifically what is causing the issue? Or will they know what I mean when I ask them to adjust the account settings for ZenCart?

It has nothing to do with Zen Cart.

"market type" would seem to be something to do with the kinds of transactions they've configured your merchant account to be allowed to process.

Ahh the good doctor was correct! Apparently the client setup a 'Card Present' account, when in fact they need to setup an 'E-commerce' account, and thus the system was refusing orders of this 'type'.

So, the lesson learned is never trust your clients! (kidding)

For anyone receiving that message I would check with either Authorize.net (or the re-seller) to ensure that their account settings on their end are correct. Easy enought!
