Featured Products - Heading Color Issues

Hi,

I am very new to coding, web sites etc and have managed to get a simple site customized (all be it in the original green colors as I dont know how to change them yet!!)

However, I have a color overlap on my featured products box header. I believe it is not wide enough as I have changed the test size and just looks a but unprofessional.

Can anyone tell me how I could correct this? Also any criticisms of the site are more than welcome (I am still working on it though so its rough round the edges!)

The effect you see is caused by the size of tile_back.gif, which is used as the background image for headers. The image is something like 30 pixels tall, which means that a header taller than this will cause the image to repeat vertically. It is happening in several places on your site.

There are a couple of things you can do beside making your own custom background image (or eliminating the image and using a solid color).

You can use a graphics editing program to enlarge or stretch tile_back.gif. This will make it not look complete on smaller headings, though. You might rename the stretched version tile_back2.gif and change your stylesheet to use that for the headings that will be taller.

You can (in your stylesheet) specify
background-image: repeat-x;
so it will only tile horizontally, and use a background-color that blends with the bottom of tile_back.gif, so that color will stretch seamlessly down as far as it needs to.
