Checkout Amazon Style -- Support Thread

Thanks for the link to Checkout Without Account - I went looking for it when you mentioned it in another post, but couldn't find it - the words in the name are too generic for the search engine, I guess. That is in fact exactly what we need, we really can't afford to have that password requirement there. I'll give that a shot. It would be nice if we weren't the 3rd or 4th site to use it but you can't have everything.

When a new customer adds something to their cart, then clicks on Checkout, goes to the mod's login screen, enters their email address and chooses, I am a new customer. (You'll create a password later), are they supposed to be taken directly to the billing information /account creation page?

If so, then the mod is working perfectly for me.

If not, then oops, got problems!

If I have already installed the COWA (checkout without account) mod, can I still use yours? I am just beginning, but I don't really like the checkout process even with the COWA. I'd like to see how yours works.

using 1.3.8a and installed this mod, but when a customer is at checkout...when the put in their billing information and click continue it brings them to "my account" when it should bring them to the shipping options? HELP ASAP!

I recently installed Zen Cart v1.3.8. I came across this add on and it seems to be one of the many things I want to add to my site.

However, after installing everything in the right places, my page is completely blank when I look at it. I began to remove files (one at a time) to pin point what caused the issue. The file turned out to be the config.checkoutlogin.php file located in the includes->auto loaders folder.

When I deleted off of the server, my website came back but with this file the site shows a blank screen.

My question: Is there an updated Amazon plugin that works with 1.3.8? Or is there a fix for this issue I am having?

I installed this mod in december 2008. It was working out great until just recently, although my client can't pinpoint exactly when. I only heard about it this week.

I'm using v. 1.3.8 and have been since it came out, but I'm wondering what may have happened to cause this mod to stop working. A php upgrade? I did the zen security patch last summer and that didn't seem to disturb your mod either.

I would love to get some feedback on this so I can decide what to do -- fix this or replace it with a different mod.

What kind of problem is it that you are having? Can you tell me what the symptoms are.

What version of PHP are you using? (You can find out by clicking on Version in the Admin).

I'm using PHP Version: 5.2.11-pl1-gentoo (Zend: 2.2.0).

The problem is that when the user goes to check out, instead of having the choice to log in or to proceed without an account, they are forced to create an account. There's no other option like there used to be.

I checked the files and they are all there, exactly as I installed them. The only thing I think that has changed is the hosting company upgraded PHP.

Let me know what else you need from me. The client is freaking out (what else is new).
