Duplicate Items from Scrolling Specials Sidebox

I have the scolling side box installed in 1.3.7 and just recently have been getting the items duplicated when I make them a Special.

I tried this thread but got errors

Any idea on what to do?

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this-

Running 1.3.7
