    Default Different view in Firefox & IE

    Hi,
    Looking at http://www.underground-toys.com/UGT_wholesale/ in IE appears to show correct stylesheet rules for text in the right-hand column, but Firefox seems to be over-ruling it. Any ideas why?

    It should either be using the normal links setting of:

    font-family: Arial;
    font-size:10px;
    font-weight:bold;
    color: #CCCCCC;
    text-decoration: none;

    or the category-top setting of:

    font-family: Arial;
    font-size:10px;
    font-weight:bold;
    color: #CCCCCC;
    text-decoration: none;

    Maybe I'm missing something but the links in the right hand column look the same in FF and IE to me. They are both using the CSS for a.category-top, and a.category-top:visited .

    Regards,
    Christian.

    Hmm, that's odd. In IE the font is definitely arial, 10px, bold... but in Firefox it looks like arial, 11px, bold...

    I can't see your pics properly because embedding them in .doc files is causing them to be distorted.

    I've attached a picture of what I see, the top part is from FF 2 and the bottom from IE 6. They look identical as far as I can tell.

    Are you seeing a cached copy maybe?

    Regards,
    Christian.

    It might also be worth going into FF, clicking on the View menu then Text Size then Normal, just increase you've accidentally hit CTRL + .

    What you have in your image is exactly what I want people to see, but there must be something screwy with my Firefox (and I've re-installed it!) because it flat refuses to show that font smaller than 11px. I've tried changing the text size... but nothing. I'm ready to throw it out the ether window...

    I run FireFox with the I.E tab installed. I view my site both ways and there is a differnce in how the two engines display my pages.

    The difference really showed up on my product pages when I used a multi tabbed box in the product description. It's a javascript with it's own css file and that css file seams to take over all the phonts on my website when it is active. FireFox continualy shows the font 1 to 2 size bigger than in IE. I played with the CSS settings for the script until they where as close to the same as I could get them. I like FireFox, but I installed the I.E. tab because there is still somethings that FireFox does not handle as well as I.E. I run the Zen adman control in I.E only because I found a few functions I couldn't do if I had Zen loaded in FireFox.

    Yeah, I like Firefox too (especially when it comes to zen-cart coding), but I guess you have to just take the display differences.. In this case I actually completely uninstalled Firefox, reinstalled and then it was finally showing the same font size from my css as IE. So I hve no idea what internal setting/bug was causing my problems...
