quantity and stock question

I don't want the customer to see how many products there are in stock.
I've changed:
configuration -> product listing -> Display Product Quantity -> 0
But it's still there.

Is there another place I should change it in order to hide this?

Another question:
I don't want the zen-cart to manage my stock. Everything I nake to order. Until now I've just entered 999999 for quantity for every product. Is there a better way of doing that?

Admin->Configuration->All Listing

turn it off there too.

You can also turn off the option to count inventory for you.

Admin->Configuration->Stock..

Check stock lever FALSE
Subtract stock FALSE

Thanks, I've done that too, but I can still see the quantity on the product page.

I've tried to change it to "0" or to "0000". The same result.

Any other idea?

Might peek in the Catalog ... Product Type ... EDIT LAYOUT ... and turn it off on the Product Type(s) where you don't want to see it ...
