Easy Populate permission problems when uploading

Hi All

I am hoping someone can help me I have read as many previous post as I can find but cannot find anything that helps me. I have download and installed Easy populate V1.2.5.4 and it has seemed to install ok onto the server and I was able to download the product files. However when I try and upload, whether I us a modified file with my products or even try and upload the file that was downloaded I get the following.


Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /catalog/admin/easypopulate.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.37 Server at www.tradingcardheroes.com.au Port 80

I have checked and the easypopulate.php permission is set at 755, if I change it to 777 I get the following until I change it back. I feel everything is set up right but might of overlooked something, any direction that could help would be appreciated.

Hello John

My initial thought is that you have a corrupted file - perhaps one of the easypopulate files got chewed up a bit when you did the FTP.

Re-upload the mod - do it file-by-file if you have to - and also carefully follow the install instructions for the mod.

Also, have you go the required "TEMP" directory?

I have tried that and nothing changed.

I do have the temp directory in my root directory for the store.

What are the permissions on your TEMP folder?

The temp folder permission is 777

Do you have a folder titled "uploads" ? If so, make it 777

I created an uploads folder and gave it permission of 777, this didnt help and in the end my host block my ip as it had appeared I was trying to force access.

I am thinking that it is not the folder that is the problem but maybe databates permission.

Any more ideas?????

I have used easy populate before today many times without a problem. Today I uploaded some different files types into easy populate other than I have uploaded prior. I gave it files of about 200 items that only had the three fields v_products_model, v_products_name_1 and v_products_quantity filled. I think that file processed OK because my item quantities were changed.

After that I tried to upload a file with 2750 items. It also only had the three fields mentioned above. In addition it had a few lines that did not have a model ID present - just a blank. I think that upload either screwed up easy populate or my database.

An example of a few lines of the upload file are found below (total of 2750 lines). Please note that the second product line has the missing product model and product name.

I tried to reinstall easy populate. I also emptied the Admin Activity Log. Easy Populate still doesn't work. I don't know what else to do.

Did I screw up my database? Can it be fixed? Please help me get easy populate to work again. Thanks.
