Default Re: Using Easy Populate to backup DB

This wouldn't be stripping it down ... it would be bloating it up.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Easy Populate and use it all the time. But its strength is that it links together a subset of data from the tables related to categories and products. That's a few dozen items from 11 tables out of Zen Cart's thousands of data fields 94 odd.

To add in all the other data would be a huge piece of work, and unnecessary as there's no need for these tables to be linked together when only doing a backup.

One of the other add-ins that's an absolute must have for me is Backup MySQL Plugin which just gets on a backs up or restores a database, including alterations and extra tables for add-in mods in just a couple of clicks. I think that this is what you are looking for.
