    Default per weight unit

    I've read many threads about this but still I can't get it to work properly.
    I feel a bit stupid
    Could someone give me a step by step instruction?
    The Tare settings has something to do with this shipping modul, right?

    As my shop is a small shop which I run in my spare time, I have to get the shipping right.
    As I can't afford to loose money on the shipping.

    I've set the shipping cost for the product in the weight field.
    I've set both Tare to 0:0
    Shipping cost per unit set to 1
    Handling fee set to 10

    When I order a product that is more expencive to ship and then add a product that is cheaper to ship, the total shipping goes down a bit.
    Wierd....

    I would be very grateful if someone can help me with this.
    Thanks

    If you have a Unit Rate of 1.00 or $1.00 and have 3 Products with products_weight of:

    12.5 = $12.50

    1.00 = $1.00

    .25 = $0.25

    If you order 3 Products with a products_weight of .75 then you get:

    Unit Rate * (Quantity * Product Weight)
    1.00 * 3 * .75 = 2.25 = $2.25

    Note: products_attributes_weight is also used for this as well ...

    I might be a little slow but where did you get .25 from?
    I think I've gotten it to work now.
    Is it right that the shipping price double if you order 2 product with same shipping cost?
    Is there a way to get the shipping cost to just increase with 25% for each product ordered instead of double? (like it does now)

    Anyone know?
    Or is there another similar shipping module I can use?

    The problem is that shipping 1 product can cost the same as shipping 2-3 of the same product.
    It's a bit unfair when it doubles the shipping cost for each product (like it does now)

    You would need a totally customized shipping module to manage shipping on a per Product per Unit basis where you can also include the adjustment on quantity ...

    While this is not horribly difficult it would require quite a bit of thought and customization ...

    Thanks Ajeh for the clear(er) explanation (among many not so clear) showing how to apply a different shipping charge for each item in the shop. Its working for my store which has a mixture of products with and without shipping charges.

    However... when I include two items in the cart each with a $15 shipping charge, I get $33 in the checkout. These are non-taxable items. Can anyone suggest where else I might look to correct this?
