Help with atributes

I've read the instructions and some threads, but after several hours of trying I can't get this atribute to work. Or maybe there is another way to do this. I have an item that comes in 2 sizes - 17 lbs and 26 lbs. The prices are 23.90 and 45.00. Several times I have gotten things so mucked up that I have to delete the product and start over, but I'm not sure I have deleted the muck.

Can someone tell me how to completely delete a messed up atribute?
And how to enter it correctly.

It's a new day and I'm giving it another try. Before I enter anything about my attribute there is a row of boxes about weight, which lead me to believe that my messed up attribute wasn't completely gone, but maybe this is something else? Maybe it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm calling this attribute "weight"? If so, this could be the source of my confusion.

OK, I give up. It will be a little messy, but I'll list my different bag sizes as different products.

I've used lots of carts before, and what one normally sees is a place to choose option label, display format, base price, and number of options, followed by a little chart on the next page that you fill out with the option name, price adjustment, and adjustment to shipping weight. This can be done in a minute!
