Big Time Error Some Place

I was doing fine and the sight looked fine. Using the directions for override system, i went to create a folder /includes/languages/english/custom

so I could put index.php in it and modify it.

I did that, and modified it, and then all I could get rather than seeing the site is the index of files, just the plain index of /~my site

Not sure what I did but I need to get back to where I was before that happened

Did you delete the main index.php in the base of your site?

I am having a similar problem and am stressing out. I hope someone can help me. I can no longer edit my define_main_page.php page. I can make changes to it, but there is no longer a save button at the bottom. I have no idea what I did. I appreciate any help you can offer.
