Paypal - money comes in but customer doesn't get product

Hello all,

My catalog at: www.3buckaudio.com/catalog is working fine if someone uses a gift certificate or a coupon. I am selling downloadable products.

But when they pay by paypal, there is an issue:

The money comes into my paypal account correctly.
But no order is processed. So they don't get a download link.
I receive no order to MY email.
No order appears on the order history in my admin panel.

** It happens every time (not an isolated incident)**


Is there a thread here where someone else has incurred the same problem?

I have been unable to locate one.

the first thing you need to check is that the email address used in your zen cart paypal payment mod matches the main email address in paypal.com

you cna check this by going to www.paypal.com
logging in then hit profiles -> email

make sure that you are using the email address that says PRIMARY next to it and that its case =

Red red and RED are not equal

It's bang-on identical. All lower case - and every letter is correct.

In paypal I only one email address on the account.

Since the funds do arrive into my paypal account I didn't think that could be the problem.

In paypal the auto-return URL is set as recommended in the admin panel. However it might be worthwhile to note that I also use this paypal account for my other sites which are not running ZC.

Do you have the IPN URL entered in your PayPal account? What version of Zen Cart are you running?

Yes I have the return url entered. Will it work if I remove it?

The version is :

Zen Cart 1.3.5

Database Patch Level: 1.3.7

v1.3.7 [2007-02-17 08:48:55] (Fresh Installation)

You appear to have a partially upgraded Zen Cart ...

The versions should all match and you are showing v1.3.5 and v1.3.7 ...

How did you do this upgrade?

I didn't upgrade ANYTHING at all.

It's a fresh installation. Given the amount time I spent tweaking, an upgrade scares the life out of me.

(Of course none of the tweaking had anything to do with paypal.)

I wonder if you're onto something here Linda.

I looked at my installations on other sites and the ZC version and database patch level are identical.

For example, one is 1.3.5 and 1.3.5.

Another is 1.3.6 and 1.3.6

And so forth.

Also I walked through all the steps listed in the wiki here for paypal and was unable to see any configuration errors.

I haven't tried uninstalling and re-installing the paypal IPN. Possibly that is the next step to try.

Check the two files:
/includes/configure.php
/admin/includes/configure.php

are the paths and database information matching for these two files?

The includes/configure.php is correct.

The admin/includes/configure.php is not.

I'll make the appropriate changes and let you know if this fixes the problem.
