    application error Http 403

I am trying to install Zen Cart to www.kutuu.com and have been using net2ftp to do this. I've uploaded all the files (I think!), renamed the two dist-configure files and all done all the CHMOD settings as it says in the instructions too.

When I try to go to www.kutuu.com/catalog though it shows the HTTP 403 message .... am I trying the right place? Is it that I've done the CHMOD permissions wrong?

Just to be sure this is right I have root / wwwroot / catalog / and then within that is all the admin, cache, docs, download, editors etc directories.

Not got a clue what I'm doing here so any help would be great!

    Thanks,
    Hannah

PS: Don't even know if I'm installing on a Linux/Unix server!

Place a simple html file at root / wwwroot / test.html

You will most likely get the 403 error... Get with your host as most likely you have inadvertantly changed the permissions of your wwwroot folder

    Thanks for your help.

Thing is I can get onto www.kutuu.com/catalog/license.txt as well as install.txt and nddbc.html which are all in the same place. Does that still mean it's what you said?

    No it does not!!

Start by setting the folder permissions for all except the ones that were set to 777 during install to 755 If this does not work set them all to 777 and work each one down until you get the error...
