Product Price by attributes - Basics

I'm missing something very basic (I assume)
Relates to Price and attributes / Options and Option Values.

I have a product or "Logo" that can be printed on many types of surfaces.

I've set the product price as $0 and created a drop down attribute Option for each "surface".
Note: Wiithin each surface (option) I have option Values for diff sizes each with a price.

I set the price as $22 and get shown a price or 24.45 when I look at it from the customers end as well as the price in the options dropdown.

Where is the extra 2.45 coming from??

Help and/or direction appreciated.

Check your Currencies settings for the Default and that it is set to a Value of 1.00 ...

Then if not using USD make sure you have your main language file updated for the right currency ...

NOTE: be sure to use the templates and overrides for this change ...

You were right the currency rate was left as the default.
CAD showed 1.11.
Once I pressed the currency exchange update button it reset and all appears to be reset ok. CAD$ now 1.00 USD$ now 1.06.
I guess this is a tweak that needs to be done.
