Remove All References To Newsletter

I don't intend to send out a newsletter. Is there any easy way to remove all references to the newsletter. I seem to keep stumbling across them. For example if a user goes to their account there is the Email Notifications section with a link to subscribing or unsubscribing from the newsletter. If there isn't a simple way to get rid of the newsletter does anyone have a separate list of the files that need editing to kill it off?

Thanks for the reply. I followed the link you gave but it didn't seem to help much. It mentioned editing includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/templates/tpl_modules_create_account.php and changing code beginning:

<fieldset>
<legend><?php echo ENTRY_EMAIL_PREFERENCE; ?></legend>

I did a search for this code using Dreamweaver but couldn't find it. I'm surprised it is so difficult to remove the newsletter option.

Sorry, I was searching in the wrong directory, I found the code referred to in the link you gave and was able to remove reference to the newsletter on the create a new account page.
