Hi
I'm really glad you like it. Can you tell me exactly what problems you ran into and how to solve it?
If there is something that needs to be fix I would like to address it so that others don't run into the same problem.
thanks
Hi Bigjoe,
Actually the problems I ran into were "pilot error". I was moving the files from the zip file to my host manually. I was afraid of overwriting files. I also made my own decisions about where to put the files. Some I thought should go in "my_template/" so I put them there.
So what all of this amounts to is: I did not follow the directions. I do wonder, however, if some of the files that you put in "template_default" should go into the "my_template" directory.
No matter what, I can say that this is a great mod and would recommend it to anyone. I imagine you will have a lot of people using it! I love it!
Hi everybody,
I just uploaded another Greybox contribution. "GreyBox 2 for links manager", it adds the same Greybox effect to outside links from your links manager 3.3 contribution.
Hope you like it.
Re the /template_default/ question:
You should absolutely not put customized files under /template_default/. Make up the package with a /your_template/ folder in that position, and give instructions to the user to change "your_template" to the name of their custom template folder before uploading. This will save the average user from making a big mistake.
But aside from that, the greybox does look very nice.
You know, you are absolutely right. I will update the contribution as soon as I get a chance.
Thanks
Yesterday I noticed some unwanted behavior in GreyBox. I found that when I went to the product page and used greybox to view an image, afterwards the "back" button on my browser did not work. The problem is only with Firefox. I tested it with IE and it works as it should.
I only noticed this after I upgraded to v1.3.8.. I don't know if it happened before that or not (sorry). I'm running the most current version of Firefox. If you need more information please let me know.
thanks...
Just for grins, I tried the sample from the other site mentioned in this thread that uses Greybox. It seems that it too has the same issue about the back button not working in Firefox after viewing an image.
Can someone look at the code and maybe tell what might be going on? I'm not good enough with php. Thanks in advance to anyone that might be able to help.
I found that there is a Google group for Greybox and I checked it out. As it turns out, this is a known bug in Greybox and has not been fixed. One of the posts I read was from January. I would be ever so greatful if someone could look into this. I'm not too good at php or js code or I would be there. I'm going to look anyway but I doubt that it will do much good.
This is a great mod and I know that many people will want to use it. Just need to get that Back button working in Firefox and it would be perfect.
Thanks everyone...
