Shipping By Zones US Only

Hello,

Please Help anyone. I am designing a website for a furniture company and having trouble with shipping options. All of the products are shipped by Freight Carrier and are very heavy. I would like 3 - 4 zones in US only. When I look at the Zones Shipping method it askes for country codes and I would like to do it by state. In other words zone one would be TX,Ok,LA,NM the next zone would be another set of states. Any Ideas on how to set this up.

I'm also trying to do something similar: I want to create a zone that includes just the 48 contiguous states so I can offer free shipping to that region. Can anyone please help us out?

Let me bump this with a me too.

I need to have 3 zones:

1) The continental US
2) AK,HI
3) The rest of the world (00)

I entered all of the states into the zones module and I can confirm they're not working. I'm falling through to the rest of the world rate.

Has anyone patched the zones module to work with zone codes instead of country ISO codes?
