Downloadable Product PLEASE help!!!

I am almost done with my cart but am still having problems with checkout. can anyone help me with the following:

1. Get rid of Shipping method since it is downloadable there is no shipping.

2. I have made one product free and have went through the check out process but when finished with checkout it doesnt show the downloadable product.

3. How do I upload the product that is actually being downloaded. I have uploaded the the same product but a lot smaller and with lower quaility but when they purchase the order I would like it to be high quality.

You have to set the Product up correctly ...

Downloads are NOT Virtual Products ... use the setting:
Product is Virtual: No, Shipping Address Required

Downloads are NOT Always Free Shipping ... use the setting:
Always Free Shipping: No, Normal Shipping Rules

Downloads are Attributes on a Product and that Attribute requires a filename and there should be a green dot next to the filename for that Attribute and the download itself should be loaded into the /downloads directory ...

Downloads NEVER go to the checkout_shipping page or your Product is setup wrong ...

Downloads are only available for immediate download following the checkout IF the Payment Module has been configured for the Order Status (orders_status) with the value >= 2 (Processing) and <= 4 (Updated) ...

Otherwise, you have to update the Order for the Download to be available ...

This is handy for Check/Money Order vs Credit Card or PayPal ...

Upload the Download to the /downloads directory with your FTP program ...

Thanks for the info. I have changed the all of the stuff but I dont know what folder to put the downloadable product in the directory. Can you please help.

The downloads need to be loaded to the directory:
/downloads

Do I need to add a cusotm folder or can I just put it under downloads? So I place it ZenCart-->download

Zen Cart comes with the directory:
/downloads

This is on the same level as:
/admin
/includes

There are no subdirectories for this ... just add the downloads to that directory ...

Downloads are recommended to be Zipped and not contain any spaces, special characters, etc. etc. etc.
