Remove 'maximum characters allowed' text

I have a attribute set up as a text box. Right it is box with the character count and the words 'maximum characters allowed'. For our use, it's a little misleading and I'd like to remove it. That's my question, what do I need to edit for that piece of code?

I cheated and glanced at the code and found the constant in it that would most likely be in the fix ... then searched on that ...
