help question Stop Google indexing my prices in $

    Hi,

I've got a small problem regarding the indexing of my site in Google. My site is based in the UK and, when indexed, Google seems to index the pages with the prices displayed in $. I would rather they were displayed in £.

I do have the usercurrency mod installed which enables visitors from around the world to choose their own currency. Is there a way of having this option available whilst ensuring Google continues to index the prices in £?

    Thanks,

    Gary

Google indexes pages not products, unless you're talking specifically about the Google Products service, in which case products submitted to the US site are assumed to be priced in $, while products submitted to the UK site are assumed to be priced in £.

    Thanks Kuroi.

It is indexing the pages with the prices displayed in $ because thats what it sees when visiting them. I think it's because the Google servers are based in the USA.

When visiting the site from the UK the prices are displayed in £ because that's how they appear on the pages when viewing them from here.

You may want to force pound as the default currency, then the users can change that if they want to (using the currency box you have)
