Setting up options for items

Hello,
I'm very new to this and am currently seeting up our store. Is there a way to create pulldown lists of options for individual items denoting color or varieties? For example, if I'm selling a ukulele, and it comes in three colors and has two different pickup options, would I have to make individual items for each variety, or could I offer that within the infrastructure of the listing?

Any help would be appreciated, I have preorders waiting.
