    Default GZip killed my site

    Hi,

I've just been setting up my first zen cart site using the latest version. The site is currently sitting on a Windows Box using Apache I believe. I was reading through a guide and it said to turn on GZip compression and if your server supports it then the site will be sped up. I thought I'd give this a go, but the second I changed the GZip setting in admin from 0 to 1 the site died. I now get a blank page and when I view source there is absolutely nothing.

Admin doesn't work either. Is there a setting in a file somewhere I can change to turn off GZip compression instead of using Admin? Am I just being incredibly stupid and just need to reset the server (it's not my server and I dont have access to it other than FTPing files)?

    Cheers,

    Tom

Am sure there is a setting in mysql database, that can be accessed,
and turned off to prevent Gzip functioning..I do not know which setting,
but hopefully another member/zencart dev does, and will post here
    with details..
    Sorry cannot help further..

You could manually turn off the setting for Zen Cart via phpMyAdmin doing a search on the configuration table for the configuration_key
    GZIP_LEVEL

    Set the configuration_value to 0
