    Default Changing domain name

Sorry to ask this again, but it got buried in another thread under a different subject so I am sure no one could find it.

Anyways, I have had a domain name registered for several months now that I have been having redirected to an ebay store. Now that my zen cart store is up and running, I removed the redirect, and will eventually close the ebay store. I want to know if I need to do anything else, or will it eventually stop finding the ebay store in google and find the new store. Will it help if I cancel the ebay store right away?

Is your domain now pointing towards your Zen Cart? If so, there's nothing else that you need do.

If you cancel the ebay store before you've been re-indexed by all the search engines, visitors will simply get broken links which does neither you nor them any good.

Ok sounds good. I just submitted my URL to google, and added a site map. I just entered my store name in google to search for it now and it didn't even come up with anything. A couple days ago when I tried it, it would have my ebay store showing up number one on the search. Does that mean it got reindexed? And if so, why didn't it come up with anything?

It can take up to 72 hours for the DNS change to take effect. The search engines may be in the process of figuring out the new information.

and google and other search engine can take up to 3 months to relist yor site.

however google doesn't list forwarded domains only the listing ie http://googlestore etc so by having a propper dns set address you will be starting from fresh with a new listing.

although, i would recogmend you spend some money on cpc with google adwords as that will in crease you listing automatically and get you business.

i spend £30 on adwords on a 20p per click and it increase enquiries by from 10 a month to 30 already this month and only added adwords a week ago
