Default Problem upgrading - it says sql files are missing?

    Hello,

I am trying to upgrade the database but it seems that the following files are missing:

mysql_upgrade_zencart_135_to_136.sql SQL Install file does not exist
    "mysql_upgrade_zencart_135_to_136.sql"

mysql_upgrade_zencart_136_to_137.sql SQL Install file does not exist
    "mysql_upgrade_zencart_136_to_137.sql"

Where do I get these files from so I can upgrade?
I have tried downloading the latest zencart but these files are not there.

    Thanks.

I'm also trying to upgrade my database and after entering my username and password and clicking on the upgrade database button in the install I was took to the next page which was completely blank! Is there another way to upgrade the database?

    Thanks

ksmglobal, The files are in the download. Please download and look again.

Nedward, I think the install is expecting the admin folder to be named admin. Make a temporary change for this during the upgrade then go back and rename the folder to a secured or random characters.

Zen Cart team, If I am correct about the admin folder statement above, would you consider adding another variable on the upgrade page to include the admin folder new name?

    Hi Merlin,

Question -- What if you have additions that were added to your admin, such as "quickupdates" or the QBI module? Wouldn't it be best to just rename the folder back to admin, rather than create a blank so that the additional files created remain? Or are they completely overwritten? How do I integrate the new with the old but keep my customizations? -- I have a lot of customizations on a couple of carts, and am very nervous about updating them. I've not updated before, so I'm completely a newbie at the updating process. Are there instructions on this process included in the readme files or is this in the "help" section? Sorry for my lameness.

Thanks as always for your energy.

The best way is to simply rename your "admin" folder back to "admin" for the 3 minutes it takes to do the database upgrade. Then rename it back to your custom name once the upgrade is done.

Granted, the zc_install upgrade process no longer requires visibility of the admin folder during upgrades. As long as it can validate the storefront as being functional, it will ignore the admin side during the upgrade.

You most likely have some files that didn't upload successfully.

Hi I got past my upgrading the database problem by resetting the admin name and password.
I'm sure I was entering the correct name and password in my earlier attempts, but if I wasn't shouldn't Zencart have said so?

Instead I was just given a white page. Odd.

anyway keep up the good work guys, I'll keep plugging away with my new install.

    Regards

    Steven

I have the same problem as Ned did. A blank screen after starting the database upgrade.

Ive used Beyond Compare to make sure all the files are there. They are.
    Ive reset the admin password.

    Still get a blank screen.

Anyone got any ideas what's going on?

    Mark
