Default How often do you guys upgrade?

Do you upgrade everytime a new release comes out, or do you wait a while? I notice the last version is a year old, so that seems like a long time, but if they come out with a new verion in a month or something short, do you always upgrade each time? I am just wondering what is worth while.

So is that what you use to determine it? Just check out the new features and see if they are needed. So you don't just upgrade just because it is there then, right?

There are lots of things to consider:
    - New features
    - Security risks
    - Time

Usually I would wait a while until the new release is confirmed stable and all serious bugs fixed. Then I'll try to get update asap. It's not good to be more than 2 versions behind the most current one.
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

Keep in mind that there are 11 months' worth of bugfixes in this release as well.
If you can live without those, then I suppose it's not worth upgrading.
But if you're running into problems that are already fixed in the newer-released version, you'll likely find that the answer you'll get will be to "please upgrade".

While it didn't happen this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see 2-3 new releases each year.
If you skip an upgrade, it'll make the "next" upgrade that much more complicated for you to do.
