How can I receive split Credit Card info when customers email is incorrect?

Hi,

Is there some way I can receive the customer's split credit card information (the middle 8 digits that I receive via email) even when their email address is incorrect.

When the customer's email address is incorrect (and they sometimes write it that way on purpose, thinking they'll avoid unwanted junkmail) I receive their orders but never receive the middle 8 digits. I can understand that they won't receive their notices without a correct email address, but Zen Cart knows my email address and it knows the middle 8 digits, so why can't it at least send that through to me? So long as I can fulfill the orders, I don't care if my customer doesn't get their confirmation.

Can anyone suggest a fix for this?

I have altered the error message the customer gets, explaining the problem and urging them to call me. When they don't call, I waste a lot of time on the phone and they are often suspicious about who I am and why I would be asking for their cc numbers.

Please help.

Zen Cart's CC module has no dependency on the customer's email address.

Hmmm,

In case anyone else has this issue, I just solved the problem by switching the e-mail transport method from the default "php" to "sendmail". I played around with the settings in Admin/E-Mail Options and determined the default transport setting was not appropriate for my server which uses the Linux operating system.
