Limiting Payment Methods To Certain Customer Types

I want to disable credit card processing for customers by default unless a signed authorisation letter is faxed to me hence allowing me to approve credit cards as a payment option for the customer.

Has anyone done a similiar hack like this before? And would they mind sharing it here?

You would need to build in an additional field for the customers table to manage this and then add that to the Admin to control the field there ...

Then in the Payment module do a look up of the customers_id to see if that new field is validated ...

It is not a difficult processes but it can be time consuming ... especially if you are not a coder ...
