error Your database appears to need patching

Just upgraded to 1.3.8. Now I got this on the top Warning Your database appears to need patching to a higher level. See Admin->Tools->Server Information to review patch levels. and when I go to Admin->Tools->Server Information I see this :

Zen Cart 1.3.8
Database Patch Level: 1.3.7.1
v1.3.7.1 [2007-11-28 11:26:31] (Fresh Installation)

What do I need to do to fix?

Just upgraded to 1.3.8.

What steps did you follow to do the upgrade?

It appears that you've missed running zc_install to upgrade your database portion.

Did i do something wrong? I made a local install of zencart last week or so and built a site... now today i just dl'ed zencart off the site to install it on the server and upload the db... got it all working but have the error database patch as above...

have the versions changed from last week to now.. if so how can i fix this? www.eridanusoptics.com is the site.

any help will be much appreciated.

If you look, you'll see that it's telling you that your Zen Cart files are at v1.3.8 level, but you've not upgraded your database to match.

So, finish your upgrade ...

You have to upgrade your database as well as the PHP files. Uploading zc_install and running it ... will give you a database-upgrade option.

BETTER YET ... READ THE UPGRADE DOCS ... they're located in the /docs/ folder of your Zen Cart files. They're also in the online Tutorials/FAQs area.

It still baffles me why people don't read instructions ...

I never received a data base upgrade option. I followed the instructs to a tee spent close to 3 hours to get where my site is now. I am going to have to "downgrade" by restoring my backups of the site, unless there is something else I can do? should I restore the install folder and see if that option appears?

FIXED IT:clap:

What i did was unhide my install folder and point my browser to in then I got the update options for database :oops:
