How to Add Categories to sidebar?

Hi all. Currently modding a site, and I can't for the life of me find out how to add the category listing to the side column, and get rid of the category listings which show up in the center wrapper.

the site is at http://artslob.com and I want the categories to be in the left white column. Not in the center

admin > tools > layout boxes controler > turn on catogories box and select left & sort order

If by center you mean the top listing then admin > config > layout settings > Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF > set to off
